Episode 15: The old fashioned rules of falling in love

Jin Heon asked Sam Soon to wait for him outside while he brought Hee Jin into his apartment. Sam Soon followed them and rang the bell impatiently. Finally Jin Heon went out and they talked.
JH: Don't misunderstand, there's a situation here
SS: What situation?
JH: Hee Jin is sick
SS: I'm sick too. I feel like I'm gonna faint cos my heart hurts so much
JH: She's really sick
SS: Where is she sick? Is she really sick?
JH: She can't eat anything
SS: What's wrong?
JH: It's anorexia
SS: So are you going to stay with her for the whole night?
JH: How can I leave her as she's sick?
SS: Isn't there Henry? You're not a doctor, why should she be with you?
JH: I will send her back tomorrow
SS: I don't like it. Send her home right now. What's wrong? You don't want to?
JH: You don't trust me?
SS: It's not that I don't trust you. I just don't trust the time that you're going to be spending with each other. Let's just be the 3 of us then
JH: Sam Soon!
Sam Soon went into the apartment. Jin Heon followed.
SS: [to Hee Jin] How can you not eat? What do you want to eat? I'll make it for you
JH: Sam Soon, it's getting late
SS: If the body is healthy then the heart will be healthy too. Just say it, I'll make it for you
JH: Sam Soon
HJ: Make it for me. Make me something delicious. I will eat. It's too late tonight
SS: Fine. Then I'll come round in the morning to make it for you. Then if that's the case, I'll have to spend the night here. What can I do? Should I sleep on the sofa? Is that ok?
Jin Heon stared at her, he didn’t have a clue about what to do.
SS: [to Jin Heon] Give me a duvet. Please give me a duvet
HJ: [grabbed her bag] I'm gonna go. I'll go now, I wanted to go anyway. I'm gonna go, you don't need to send me.
SS: Hey..don't go. What's wrong? You don't like to be under the same roof as me?
HJ: Yes, it's uncomfortable
SS: You really can't?
HJ: Yes
SS: Then I'll go. I'll go. Take good care of her.
Then Sam Soon left them alone. She walked slowly to home. She stopped outside her home to talk to ’50 million’ (the dog) about how hard it was to be in love. Then Jin Heon called to check if she’s home yet and alright. He thanked her, wished her good sleep and gave a kiss through cell phone *sweet*.
Hee Jin left the apartment early in the morning while Jin Heon was sleeping. Meanwhile Sam Soon cooked a congee so early that it woke her mom. She lied saying it’s for Jin Heon who’s ill. Mom helped her preparing the congee because she started to like Jin Heon. While cooking she said she knew that Sam Soon lied about her pregnancy. Sam Soon apologized and hugged her.

Sam Soon arrived at Jin Heon’s apartment but Hee Jin had already gone. She asked for her address. She went to Hee Jin. Reluctantly Hee Jin opened the door. Sam Soon put some of the congee in the fridge. Hee Jin was embarrassed and said she would eat it later so Sam Soon could leave right away. But Sam Soon insisted that Hee Jin must eat the congee in front of her. She poured it to the bowl and asked Hee Jin to eat it. Hee Jin lost her patience and wasted the congee to the sink. She grabbed Sam Soon and forced her to leave the house. Sam Soon didn’t want to leave. The two started to fight and pulled each other hair *girl style in fighting of course ^_^* Henry came over and stopped them.

To kill time, Sam Soon taught Henry how to play cards. Hee Jin saw them and became impatient. She helped Henry that finally made Sam Soon lost and must pay her the bet. Apparently Hee Jin was very good in playing cards because it’s the activity she had during the cancer treatment.

Chef Lee asked Jin Heon what’s his trick in dating Sam Soon successfully. What he meant by his secret was the piggy doll *LoL, this cute doll had important role in this drama* He advised him to give the doll to Yi Young and let it do the rest. Chef Lee was hesitated at first but then decided that he would give a try.

Meanwhile, Henry was confident that Hee Jin must feel something for him deep in her heart. Hee Jin denied it. She told him that she wanted to go back to the States to see her parents.

Hee Jin phoned Jin Heon and asked him to stop by because she had something to say. She asked him a favor to escort her to the States. Jin Heon was silent for a while and said okay, he would escort her.

Sam Soon wore a scarf to her head, trying to disguise herself. She tried to avoid the man placed by Jin Heon to stop her in changing her name. She succeeded passing the gate and proceeded to the office. In front of the door, a man appeared and took her paper and tore it into pieces. Sam Soon was furious. She searched for Jin Heon at Bon Appetit but couldn’t find him. Then she got the call from Chae Ri who told her that Jin Heon was having a blind date in Seoul Hotel. Sam Soon came straight to the hotel, pulled Jin Heon without realizing that the woman there was only friends to Jin Heon. When Jin Heon told him, she felt embarrassed instantly.

The next day, they went out taking Mijoo to seaworld. At lunch, Sam Soon forced Mijoo to call her ‘auntie’ but Mijoo didn’t want to speak. Later that night, at Jin Heon’s, Sam Soon read Momo for Mijoo until she slept. Mijoo dreamed that she was Momo and she met doctor time shaped as the piggy doll.

Jin Heon told Sam Soon about his plan in escorting Hee Jin back to the States.
SS: A week? Where are you going?
JH: I want to go to America
SS: America? Why are you going to America? What is it? What are you going to America for?
JH: I'm sending Hee Jin back. Hee Jin says she wants to go back to America, her parents are there. I'm going to America with her to see if she can finally settle down. So I need a week's time.
SS: What about Henry? Can't she just go with Henry?
JH: Henry is going as well.
SS: Then why do you have to go?
JH: It's just something that I should do for a friend
SS: [with higher tone] Friend? When did you guys become friends?
JH: [whispered] The child is sleeping
SS: You can't. I won't let you go, don't go
JH: Sam Soon
SS: Hee Jin is so strange, why did she have to do this? What is the reason?
JH: It's the last time. Because it's the last time, she needs to pretend to be cool
SS: Are you guys in a movie?
JH: I want to do this
SS: Why? First love..you really can't forget it? Is it that sad every time you see her?
JH: Don't make fun of me
SS: Then what kind of sympathy is this? You're really old fashioned. Isn't your sympathy a bit exaggerated?
JH: Don't make fun of me
SS: Then why did you end it with her in the first place? You should carry on being together
JH: [start to yell] That's not what I meant! I have bared all I can
SS: When do I have to bear it to?
JH: It's really disappointing. I thought you would understand me
SS: When do I have to understand you to? I am disappointed as well. If you want to go then end it with me first and then go.
JH: Didn't I say not to say things like that?
SS: Who started it first?
JH: It's only for a week! You can't wait for a week?
SS: I can't. A person's heart can change at anytime.
JH: If that's the case, then it wouldn't have been hard for us in the first place. Do you think I am playing around right now?
SS: That's why don't go. I don't want you to. I don't want you to go, but do you really have to?! Fine. I'm not gonna say no more, I need to ask her.
JH: [yelled] Are you crazy? Where you going?
SS: [yelled back] Yes, I'm crazy. Let go, let go, I need to ask her myself!
JH: Stop all this nonsense!
Their argument halted because of the sound of a crying child. They turned around and found Mijoo already woke up and cried. She wiped her tears and suddenly spoke for the first time.
Mijoo: Uncle, I hate you! Uncle, I hate you! Stop shouting so loud! Stop shouting so loud! Don't argue! Don't argue!
JH: [held her and cry in joy] We won't argue. We won't argue, Mi Joo. Don't cry. We won't argue. We won't argue, don't cry Mi Joo. Uncle was wrong.

On the way to Sam Soon home, Jin Heon told Sam Soon that he wouldn’t go if Sam Soon disagreed. Sam Soon didn’t like the way he thought and walked straight to her home without even looking back.

Sam Soon and Yi Young started to renovate their cake shop.

Sam Soon and Jin Heon messaged each other: phone me. Finally Jin Heon gave up and called her but Sam Soon rejected his call by switching off her cell phone.

Sam Soon went to see Hee Jin. She asked her what’s her reason by asking Jin Heon to escort her back to the States. She didn’t want to tell her. She said that memory just couldn’t be erased. She wanted to keep their memory in a right way, so this escort would be their parting journey.

Chef Lee proposed Yi Young to marry him. She rejected his proposal.

Sam Soon walked home thinking about Hee Jin words. She found Jin Heon waiting in front of the house.
JH: Where did you go? How dare you not answer my phone? Don't ever not answer my phone. Also, you have to report to me where you're going. Report back to me every hour. Where did you go? What did you do? Your hand phone is even off.
SS: I went to see Hee Jin. She's already packed her luggage
JH: So?
SS: Are you gonna go?
JH: Didn't I say I'm not going?
SS: Really?
JH: You don't trust me?
SS: Fine, don't go. If I don't let you go.. Do you want to go? If I say you can go, do you want to go?
JH: Yes. I want to do this
SS: Only for a week? Is it really for a week? Go Before I change my mind..go
Sam Soon turned around and opened the door. But Jin Heon pulled her back and hugged her.
SS: What are you doing? The neighbours will see us! Let go!
JH: Just a minute. I really want to hold you all day today. Thank you. You're really Kim Sam Soon. I knew you would understand me.
SS: Stop pretending, you think I like to do this?
JH: I knew you were only doing it to make me feel settled. So that's why.. If you wanna change your name then change it.
SS: What?
JH: If you really wanna change your name then change it. I like the name Sam Soon. But you hate it so I can't do anything about that, so change it then. If you were like a little doll princess, then I could put you in my pocket, wouldn't that be great?
SS: You.. If you were like an apron, wrapped round my stomach all day, then wouldn't that be great? That way you can't go anywhere. Hee Jin..she didn't throw away the congee I made for her, she ate it all
JH: Really?
SS: So you don't have to worry
JH: Thank you

Sam Soon went to the court office again. Jin Heon really meant what he said that he wouldn’t stop her in changing her name. No one stopped Sam Soon so she succeeded getting the paper and apply for the change name. But in a few second later, she’s having the second thought and changed her mind. She canceled the changing name application and remained as Kim Sam Soon.

One week had passed and there’s no news from Jin Heon. He hadn’t come back yet. Sam Soon thought about him: Love is really a stupid thing. A week has gone by already.. The days felt like years.. But he still hasn't returned..
