Hye-jung phoned Yul to say that she'd come to Seoul the next day.

Chae-gyung and Shin stayed in different rooms in Western house (the new building next to the Palace).

Overseas, at the hotel lobby, Hyo Rin was offered the ballet scholarship after her fantastique performance. While reading the offer, she saw the news of Shin wedding. She felt unease and left the table. Her teacher called her room and asked her to go downstairs. Hyo Rin came down and decided to refuse the scholarship.

Yul ironed Chae-Gyung gym pants carefully.

The next morning, the maids woke Chae-Gyung. She's surprised about the time was and directly searched for her outfit, but she couldn't find her gym pants. Before taking the shower, she wandered around the house. Then she and Shin went to great the Great-Queen, King and the Queen. The Great-Queen gave them some advice about marriage. And the King said that Shin bodyguards would be reduced from 14 to 3, while Chae-Gyung herself got 3 bodyguards, Then Shin confirmed about Queen promised to gave them the new separated place. Queen said that it's gonna take longtime because the place hasn't got repaired yet. Shin pretended to sulk because his mother broke her promise. He grabbed Chae-gyung hands and left the room.

The internal officer introduced the new bodyguards to Chae-gyung. She was very excited.

The palace lawyer gave Chae-Gyung the palace accounts. It's the statements on how much Chae-Gyung have and owned as the Crown Princess. After the lawyer left, Chae-Gyung read the numbers and screamed in joy.

In the car on their way to the school, Chae-gyung made some notes about some stuff she would buy with her money. She's very happy and smiling. Shin commented if she's sick because she's laughing without reason.

Chae-gyung went to her class. Yul waited outside and gave her the gym pants. She was happy to receive it and asked why Yul had it. Yul asked whether she remembered him. She thought for a moment then said Yul must be the new transferred student. Chae-gyung then point her finger to Yul. He hesitated for a moment then did the same thing. Just like the way ET greeted people, Chae-Gyung pulled back her finger before it touched Yul's. She entered the classroom but her friends completely ignored her.

After playing basketball, Shin met Hyo Rin in the hallway. Hyo Rin hoped that Shin would treat her the same as before.

Chae-Gyung talked to Yul outside the class. She poured her feeling of being Crown Princess all the sudden. She said she's happy to meet a nice friend like Yul. Yul said he felt the same way.

Chae-Gyung came back to the class, but the situation didn't get better. Even Yul pretended to not know her in the class. Then Sesu and Ji-su asked her to seat in front. Sadlu, Chae-Gyung left her seat and stood in front of the class. She thanked her friends for treating her better than she ecxpected. Then her friends started to throw some powders, gave her flower and brought out cake with candles. Everyone including the teacher congratulated her for the marriage. Chae-Gyung blowed the candles and Kang-hyun made her face sticked to the cake. She immediately gave the revenge and chased around her friends.

Yul walked Chae-gyung to the school gate. Shin impatiently asked her to get in the car. Yul watched them leaving and said to himself : that spot is mine.

Yul went to the flourist to buy flower. He met Hyo Rin there and remembered her. She said Yul girlfriend must love the flower. Then Yul went to the airport to pick his mom. He gave her the flower. Hye-jung smiled to see the flower. Then a camera flash surprised them. It was a news reporter who's the friend of Yul's late father. He came to greet them. Yul and his mom had dinner in the hotel. There they met Hyo Rin and her teacher who's coincidentally was the friend of Hye-jung. They introduced each other. From there. Hyo Rin learned that Yul was also the Prince.

The palace officer informed the Queen that there's a possibility that Hye-jung had returned to Korea. Queen talked to the King about the return of Yul and his mom and how it made her worried.

Yul and his mom went to his father graveyard. There hye-jung reminded Yul about their plan to get back what they should have.

Meanwhile at the Crown Prince and Princess house, the couple had their dinner. Chae-gyung commented on how weird they were to eat like that. Then Shin asked her to enjoy the meal and get ready to accompany the King wacthing the movie. Chae-Gyung got excited but then she lost her spirit and appetite to hear that she must study first then she could watch the movie. She studied with Choi Sanggung with boredoom. Then her phone rang. Choi Sanggung scolded her to receive the phone but then she allowed her since it's from the Crown Prince.
CG: Hello.
Shin: Regarding the movie appreciation time with father. I will go over directly after my exercise. You just go over by yourself as well. And don't use me as an excuse to be too late.
CG: You mean I need to go over now? *smart girl hehe to get away from the lesson* Yes. I will get prepared now. We cannot allow the king to wait for us.
Shin: Hello? Hello??
Chae-Gyung hung up and immediately walked out of the study room.

Chae-Gyung watched the movie silently with Shin and the King. *I think the movie title is Untold Scandal - but isn't it a R-rated movie? it's not suitable to be watched with parents, right? *

Hyo Rin phoned Shin regarding the horse-riding club *I think it's just a reason - wicked* Chae-gyung noticed that Shin received the call from Hyo Rin. Silently she went to her room feeling sad. She stared at her phone and called her family. Then she went out of her room and saw Shin in his room holding a teddy bear. She questioned herself about Shin's sad expression whether it's because he can't marry the girl he likes. Suddenly Chae-gyung felt all alone.

End of episode 4.

The maids tried to wake her up but failed in attempt. The Queen asked them to stop since she understood how tired Chae-Gyung was. She only advised Choi Sanggung to teach Chaegyung carefully the wedding etiquette.

Chae-Gyung tried to escape from her maids. But Choi Sanggung caught her and threw her temper to the maids instead of to Chae-Gyung. She said from then onwards, if there's mistakes she would blame the maids. Chae-gyung felt very guilty.

The Great-Queen asked for the news of Hye-Jung (Yul's mom). The old maid lady confirmed that she's still in England finishing some business.

The Queen advised the King to get some rest anticipating the big wedding ceremony the day after. He asked about Princess-to-be training. Queen commented on how worries she was but she insured that Chae-Gyung would do fine.

Choi Sanggung asked Chae-Gyung to recite the etiquette for wedding ceremony. Slowly Chae-gyung answered. Two sentences then she forgot. For this mistake Choi Sanggung was ready to hit the arms of palace maids. Chae-Gyung stopped her and said she remembered. Bluntly she told the wedding ceremony etiquette. Fortunately Choi Sanggung was satisfied without knowing that Chae-Gyung read the answer from her upper arm.

Yul came to visit Shin. Shin commented on how upset he was of the Palace life. Shin asked him to accompany him to visit Chae-Gyung. Yul refused but kindly he gave Shin advise to bring Chae-Gyung some candies and chocholates since she must feel bored.

Chae-Gyung trio's friends prepared some stuff to greet Chae-Gyung at the parade.

Shin visit the boring Chae-Gyung. He gave her the chocolates and said it was from Yul. Chae-Gyung was surprised.
CG: "They said no one could come in here."
Shin: "Am I anybody? I just thought I had to see what you looked like before we got married. Yul sent it (the chocolates). You know Yul right? He's in your class."
CG: "Yul? Who's Yul?"
Shin: "He said girls like that kind of stuff. Since its obvious that you can't eat stuff like that here. He said if I gave it to you that you'll like it so he packed it for you. You weren't here crying because you wanted to see you parents, right?"
Shin looked at Chae-gyung sad expression and continued: "What is it?"
CG: "No, it's nothing."
Shin: "To be honest, there is one condition for you for marrying me. I asked for our quarters to be in chang-dok palace. Then your quarters will be far away from the elders. And we'll receive less scrutiny from the elders. So, about once a month you can visit your parents without the elders knowing. And what else was there.. [reading from a piece of paper] You can invite your friends to the palace for a party. Oh, this is good. You can invite your family to the hwang-shil resort and spend your vacation there. Have you ever had an overseas vacation? And what else was there?"
CG: "Stop it. I said stop it. If that's how you're going to comfort me."
Shin: "Okay, [fold the paper] this was what Yul wrote down for me. What I can promise is just power."
CG: "What?"
Shin: "When I get a little older, when I can do things without anyone blocking my path. And if by then you can't stand being here and want to leave the palace. I won't be able to stand a wife that's longing for her mom, I can let you go. But I'm a Crown Prince to be a King. Though I'm still young. I know a divorce isn't easy to get. So, just tell me right before you're about to really die, because then I'll give you a divorce."
Chae-Gyung was stunned hearing how easy Shin saying the word 'divorce'.

The first half of the ceremony ran smoothly. People gathered on the streets watching the ceremony from the big screen and waiting for the couple parade, including Chae-Gyung trio friends. They claimed to the boy there that they are the friends of Crown Princess. The boy didn't believe them and said he's the friend of Dong Bang Shin Ki *LoL*.

Yul watched the ceremony from far. Hyo Rin tried to focus on her ballet performance but she kept thinking about Shin.

Shin's friends watching the ceremony from the television. They commented that it was weird that it ran smoothly. But just then they look at the screen and saw Chae-joon (Chae-gyung brother) opened his dress and make sudden strip.

Hyorin succesffuly performed her best ballet at the stage.

Yul went to the palace where his parents used to live. He tried to remember the atmosphere he felt when he was young there. The dowager who used to take care of him when he was a child greeted him. They talked about the past when Yul's father was still the Crown Prince.

The Prince and the Crown Princess went on parade accross the main streets. Shin did very well on the parade. Continuously he waved and smiled to the crowds. Everyone cheered the couple, including Chae-gyung friends. But due to the big crowd and the noise, Chae-Gyung didn't even notice her friends waving at her. They became very dissapointed, added with the smirk of the Dong-Bang-Shin-Ki-boy. The got even more dissapointed when the restaurants was short of food during the festives.

The smooth ceremony process finally ruined by Chae-Gyung. When she bowed to greet the minister, her big headset stucked to minister's head. She asked for Shin's help but he ignored her.

All the relatives contacted and congratulated Chae-gyung family.

Shin and Chae-Gyung waited for the last part of the ceremony. They fell asleep because of the tiring day they had. Choi Sanggung woke up Shin first. When she tried to wake Chae-Gyung, he asked her to leave. Using his feet, he tried to wake her up but Chae-Gyung didn't even move. He shake Chae-Gyung body. Suddenly Chae-Gyung grabbed his collar and talked in sleep : "Ajuhma, it's too bland. You should add more salt.". When she opened her eyes and realized it was Shin, she closed her eyes again and pretended to be sleeping. Shin shaked her even more.

The last part of ceremony was The Tong Ne ceremony. Choi Sanggung explained that it is supposed to be the first night together as husband and wife. But due to the fact that both of Shin and CG are still underage, the real ceremony will be done after they become adults. So that day consuming the wine and food prepared marks the end of the whole ceremony.
Shin: "Why does it have to be pushed back?"
CG: "Eh?"
Shin: "The wedding night. Why do we have to push it back?"
CG [mumbled]: "Is he crazy?"
Shin [stared to CG]: "Don't look at me that way, rice cake."
CG [also mumbled]: "What? Rice cake?"
Shin: "Even if you beg me, I wouldn't be interested in the wedding night. I only asked because I am curious, that's all. Isn't it ridiculous? Restricting us because of our age? Is it not? Well, let's eat."
Chae-Gyung disgusted for a moment then she ate the food slowly.

After the ceremony.
Shin: "The palace maids. They are supposed to stand guard. But they are all falling asleep. I am so tired. I might as well just sleep right here. So you are okay with it?"
CG: "Yah! What are you doing? Get up. Didn't you hear what she said just now? We sleep in different rooms. Isn't it this way?"
Shin: "Is it so? Then I'll get going."
CG: "Yah!"
Shin: "What?"
CG: "How can you just leave me alone?"
Shin: "Then what do you want me to do?"
CG: "Please guide me along the way. Honestly speaking, Goong is a very unfamiliar place to me. But you have lived here all your life so you won't feel that way."
Shin: "But if you just think that because I am your husband and that I have the responsibility to take care of you. Then that I can't promise you. Caring about the people around me or putting myself in others shoes, I can't do that either. Understand? I know it's my flaw. But I can't change it. It's my personality I was born with. So what I mean is... Don't make such a face. I'm feeling sorry here. As a friend, I can listen to your hardship if you want. How about it?"
Shin shook his hand. Chae-Gyung stared at his hand and thought 'Who asked you to back me up? Don't make me laugh~!'. She took Shin's right hand and bite it. Shin screamed.

Shin: "What the heck are you doing?"
CG: "Friends? What friends? I only said it out of courtesy. You petty jerk! You are really narrow-minded! so so!!"
Shin got mad and tried to make revenge to Chae-Gyung. But the palace maids hold him tight and brought him away from the room.
Shin: "Let go! You tried to kick me the other time and now you bit me? You violent woman!"
CG [put her hands on her ears]: "Lalala. I cant hear a thing. This is weird. Why can I only hear my voice? Oh Shin Goon, good-bye."

When Shin finally out of the room, Chae-Gyung sat alone and said to herself: "That bad jerk. Do you think I wanna ask for your help? It's just that for a split second you looked so handsome. So I wanted to know you better. That's why I said what I said. Bad jerk, this is totally disappointing.

End of episode 3.

Hi there...
Eventough I've finished watching Goong aka Palace aka Princess Hours, I'd like to announce that I would delay posting the rest episodes guide. I have crazy life this past two weeks with stack of activities such as photography club, office projects, being the change agents, etc. Actually it's okay since those are my routine activities but apparently I couldn't spare any time to write the synopsis because I have to study for GMAT test this April 24th. Wish me luck so I could get a score above 600. I'll be back on April 25th. Arigatou!

Goong Episode 2

Chae-Gyung splashed the tea to her whiteskirt so it would look like a pattern, not a stain. The Queen-mother arrived and they talked about the engagement. The queen-mother was surprised to hear that Chae-Gyung accepted the marriage proposal. And later she felt rather unhappy to hear that Chae-Gyung wanted to marry for financial reason. Then Great-Queen arrived and she's very happy to hear Chae-Gyung acceptance. When Chae-Gyung greeted her, the Queen-mother noticed the pink colour on Chae-Gyung white skirt and asked what did she use to dye her skirt. Chae Gyung lied and said she used fruit juice. The Great-Queen asked her why she finally decided to marry. Chae-Gyung was trying to explain with formal sentence but it's quite hard for her. The Queen allowed her to speak with her daily language, but hearing CG slang words, both the Great-Queen and Queen-Mother couldn't catch even a single meaning.

Chae-Gyung was on her out of the Palace when she met Shin in front of elevator. Shin asked the guards to leave them alone since he wanted to talk with Chae-Gyung.
Shin: "It was a reluctant marriage, but you made the right decision. You’re very ordinary, easy... I think you’ll be fun!"
CG: "What? Ordinary.. easy.. and fun?"
Shin: "It's like you’re the main character of a cheerful comic."
Chae-Gyung thought about Shin last words with anger, but she didn't reply him. She stormed off looking for the car that will take her home.

The Royal Family discussed the wedding plan. The Queen-Mother persuaded The Great Queen to cancel the engagement but she refused the idea and said it's what the late King wanted.

Chae-Gyung felt that she had made the wrong decision, to marry the Crown Prince. The next day at school she asked her friends about their opinions upon marriage at young age. Her friends disagree because :
1. CG will be living with one person for about 60 years.
2. If CG's married and someone she loves appeared, what she's gonna do.
Hearing the reasons, CG understood that she made the wrong decision. She rushed home and asked for the ring and token. She wanted to give them back to the Royal Family as the symbol to cancel the wedding. She quickly ran to the main road and hailed for taxi. But instead of getting taxi, she got the news letter distributed by a man on the street. It contained the news of Prince Shin will marry ordinary girl Chae-Gyung, full story with their pictures too. The shocked Chae-Gyung could only say : "Oh my God, Jesus Christ, Superstar!"
Chae-Gyung sobbed for her bad luck in front of her families..
CG brother: Hey.. don’t cry. I’ll call you older sister.
Dad: "I know. I know how you feel."
CG: "What do you know?!"
Dad: "I know, man! After your mom grabbed the wedding date, she cried too."
CG (cried even louder): "What do I do, now what do I do? Why does it have to be this picture!?"
Brother, mom and Dad was stunned, didn't expect that the reason CG cried because of the picture, not because of the arranged marriage.
CG (continued crying): "My middle school graduation picture. It was the period of my life when I was ugly and fat. I’m ruined! I’m ruined! Who gave this picture?"
(Dad avoid CG stare and look the other way as guilty as it is)
CG (pointing to her brother): "Was it you?!"
Brother: "It's not!"
CG: "Let's die together! I won't be able to walk on the streets anymore."

The next morning, the press gathered in front of CG house. CG had just waken up and walked out with her worst morning look. The photographers took her picture right away. CG quickly came back inside home and looking at the mirror. She screamed in horror.
The Great-Queen saw Chae-Gyung morning look in the newspaper and couldn't stop laughing.

At school, Kang Hyun avoided CG because she didn't tell her about the wedding thing. While Jisu and Sesu still tried to confirm the news. When CG nodded that the rumors was true they cried as if CG had stolen their boyfriend.

At the cafetaria, CG told her friends the she's no Cinderella, she was just a filial daughter.

At the airport, Yul who just arrived from London, accidentally bumped to Hyo Rin who's going to go abroad for ballet performance. Her cellphone dropped and got broken. When Yul picked it up, he saw the picture of Hyo Rin and Shin together, before it went off.

Yul went to see his Grandma (the Great-Queen). She asked him to stay inside the Palace but Queen-Mother reminded her about the rule that only Crown Prince live in the Palace. The Queen asked him if he had registered to any school. Yul said he took the Design class in London, so he wanted to continue the same major here.

At school, Chae-Gyung walked along the hall and meet Shin. She excused herself for taking the wrong route but then Shin called her.
Shin: "Oy! Wait. Where are you going? Lets talk. I didn't know that you can still face the
camera with your type of mentality."
CG: "What? Mentality?"
Shin: "I'm assuming you're preparing already."
CG: "Preparing for what?"
Shin: "The preparations to enter the Palace. Someone will be coming to your house."
CG: "Entering the Palace?"
Shin: You don't know about it? It's for the Crown Princess' education. I don't know if you can cope with it. What's up with that facial expression of yours? You're the one who agreed to the marriage, while asking for money at the same time."
CG: "What?"
Shin: "It doesn't matter to me, so I don't care. Anyway, be fully prepared and not get me into
a dumb situation because this is not a joke."
Shin turned around and halted to hear CG shout.
CG: "Hey, Shin Goon!"
Shin (come nearer): "WHAT? Shin Goon?"
CG: "Yeah, Shin Goon. Let me ask you something. You can just marry the girl you like and stop boasting."
Shin: "What?"
CG: "You had a girl that you proposed to then, why did you tell your parents that you wanted to get married to me? You're so funny."
Shin: "You don't seem to know anything. Do you think I want to let the girl I like be
trapped inside a Goong as a princess?"
CG: "Then what about me?"
Shin: "I told you before. You and I have nothing in relation. I don't care what happens to you, so that's why I'm marrying you."
CG: "What did you say?"
Shin: "Shouldn't you be grateful that I'm marrying you without any complaints?"
CG: "What did you say? Then, are you saying that instead of being your girlfriend, you want me to marry you and be trapped and work in the Goong?"
Shin: "Nonetheless, whatever, you should not forget, whatever the reason may be, the truth is that you're going to be a princess. If you want to be my wife, you have to upgrade your level or else you'll be in trouble. Do you know? You do know that your level of being a princess is low, right?"
CG: "Level?"
Shin: "I don't want your stupidity to interfere with me. Got it? And you.. take off those dirty sweatpants. If you really can't, then I'll call in a person to teach you some manners.."
CG: "Just go and learn it yourself! You jerk!"
Chae-Gyung felt that her blood had risen up to the limit, she clenched her fist and ready to kick Shin. But she slipped off and fell backward.

Shin: "You never seem to alter my expectations."

Chae Gyung stepped down the stairs slowly because of her back hurt. But she had to run away since  a teacher saw her gym pants outfit. During her escape, she ran into Yul who's searching for Art Department. He asked CG and she answered him while wearing-off go her gym pants. Since the teacher had already near, CG ran again and left her gym pants on the floor. Yul picked the gym pants.

Chae-Gyung ran to the gate and met the bodyguards. They brought CG to the Palace for the Crown Princess lesson. CG was excused to miss the class which hasn't over yet. She also wasn't in the class when Yul was introduced as the new good looking alien (because the name of the class is Planet Room).

Yul finally met Shin outside the school. They talked about Shin wedding at the Palace. Shin showed him the picture of the future-bride. Shin stared at the newspaper and commented that CG is cute.
Shin: "What?! She's cute?! Don't joke around, do you know how uncouth she it? I don't see her a lot but I can tell that it's her. That's why the only reason why I didn't stop this marriage is because, I want to see her having a hard time with the elders. Isn't it funny? Oh yeah! You said you're in arts, right? You could be in her class since she's also in arts. What classroom are you in?"
Yul looked again at the picture and seemed to remember Chae-Gyung.

At night, Shin tried to call Hyo Rin, but it was out of reach since her cellphone had broken. With bad mood, he exercised fencing. His mom called on just to remind him about Yul intention of going back to Korea.
While Yul looked to the palace view from his apartment window. He sat on the bed to finish unpacking. Then he saw CG gym pants. He held it and smiled.
The day when Chae Gyung must leave the house finally came.

End of episode 2

I bought this dvd last Wednesday so I could watch it during long weekend. I must say it's a mistake because now I go gaga for this K-Drama. Why? Because apparently it hasn't ended yet, perhaps it has in Korea but not here. The pirated cd's distributor only has the half part of this popular drama. It consists of 24 episodes, and I only have 12 episodes in my hand now. I am verrryy curiooouuusss about what will happen from episode 13 forward. Seriously.. I might have no life because of my curiosity. So until I get the rest of the episodes, I would like to share the stories of this based-on-manga-drama.

Episode 1 Synopsis

[InHwa, Year 14]
The Palace doctor checked the King's condition and reported to Tae-hung mama (the Great Queen) that the King's health had fallen because of neuroglycopenia. Tae-hung mama discussed with the Queen-mother about the preparation of King's successor, that is the marriage of Crown-Prince.

Jisu and Sesu stared at the book published by the Palace. They seemed to admire the Royal Family. Chae-gyung came in and snatched away the book. They seized the book until it got ripped by Chae-gyung. The guilty Chae-gyung ran out for her life but Jisu managed to capture her.

At the art studio, again Jisu and Sesu stared to the photo album diary of Prince Shin.
They discussed on how cute the Prince is while Kang-hyun felt disgusted. Chae-gyung entered the studio silently and startled both Jisu and Sesu. Then Kang-Hyun reminded the three that they hadn't finished the portrait assignment yet. They started to sketch something on the canvas at the second floor balcony. Just then Kang-hyun told them that it seemed that the Prince had arrived at school based on the girl's cheering sound downstairs. Chae-gyung took a look and thought that the Prince looked at her. She didn't realize that Shin looked at Min Hyo-Rin who's having the balled exercise at the room next to Chae-gyung.

Chae-Gyung did the cleaning at school. Accidentally she collided with Shin and the dirty water splashed to his shoes.

Chae-Gyung was very suprised. She tried to clean the shoes with her apron.
CG : "I'm so sorry! I'll clean it for you. Oh! It's so wet!"
Shin: "Stop it. I told you to stop it!"
He put away the dirty shoes and said, "Throw that out!"

Chae-Gyung lost her patience
CG: "HEY! YOU!"
Shin stopped walking.
CG: "Is being the prince everything?! Am I your slave?! I am a princess at my house, too!"
Shin ignored her words and continued walking. Chae-Gyung looked at the dirty shoes and threw it to Shin.

The crowds gathered and looked at the couples, they commented : "Oh my gosh! The prince has never been treated like that! Chae Gyung! You're in big trouble!"
Shin turned around and walked approaching Chae Gyung.
Shin: "You're the first girl who acted against me. Your ways are cute and alluring. You... I like you.
Shin leaned on and was about to kiss her.

Apparently the scene above was only Chae-Gyung imagination. Instead she could only silently cursed Shin as a jerk. Jisu and Sesu fought to get the shoes to be auctioned on Internet. They're busy struggling then realized that Chae-Gyung had taken the shoes.

Chae-gyung walked through the corridor while eating some snacks. The access system on one door attracted her nearer. When she tried to check the access system she overheard conversation of two people. She peeped at the door and saw Shin and Hyo-Rin talking.
Shin: "Should we get married?"
HR: "What did you say?
Shin: "You didn't hear me? I'm proposing to you now."
HR: "Hey, look. I'm sorry, but we are still high school students. But what do you mean by marriage? You're just joking around, right?"
Chae-Gyung got excited about what she heard and continued eavesdropping.
Shin: "It's a policy for royal families to get married at an early age. And in my case, since I'm the prince, I might have to get married to a girl that my parents decide unless I tell them I have a girl I want to get married to. Since we're good friends, it's better to get married than to marry an unknown girl."
HR: "I don't want to ruin our friendship with this kind of stuff. And of course, the responsibility and dull living. And as you know, my dream is to become a world renowned ballet dancer. I've been doing great, I don't want to give up now. If I become a princess, don't I need to give up all that stuff?"
Hearing Hyo-Rin reply, Chae-Gyung could not agree more. She thought herself: "She seems to be a cool girl. I would do the same thing as the girl.I mean who would want to marry that jerk of a prince?"
But looking to the sad expression of Shin, Chae-Gyung pitied him. Suddenly her phone's ringing. It was her mom. She tried to shut if off but it keeps ringing.

Shin: "Who's out there?"
Chae-Gyung was about to run away but halted because of Shin shouted her to stop.
Shin: "Who are you? I'm saying what did you see? Hey! Turn this way."
Chae-Gyung wasn't dare to turn around and showed her face. She hummed a song in a bigger sound so Shin won't recognized her.
Shin: "Your voice sounds odd. Did you eavesdrop on our conversation? What did you hear it up to?"

Chae-Gyung felt uneasy, inside her head she answered Shin's question: "Who said that I heard your conversation? Did you wish I did? What's to be proud of being rejected by a girl?". But it's only in her head, instead, lack of courage she ran for her life. Shin couldn't stop her.

At home, mom was very mad of CG messy behaviour. She tried to call CG phone to yell at her but CG didn't answer her call. Added with the unpaid bills, unemployment husband, she got dizzy already. When she debated with her husband, a guest rang the bell. It's from the Palace. They informed them about the promise between the late King Sung Jo and CG's grandfather, which is to marry the Crown Prince with Chae-gyung. They showed a ring and a half piece of token held by King Sung Jo  and asked for the same thing held by CG's grandfather. CG's mom and dad said they kept the thing safe but actually they didn't have a clue where it was. They searched for it instanly after the guest left the house.

The crowds gathered again to cheer the departure of Prince Shin from school. Jisu and Sesu watched for the cars leaving the school yard in dreaming eyes and wondered who's the girl Prince Shin about to marry. In split tongue, Chae-Gyung said she knows who's the girl. Her friends urged her to say the name. But Chae-Gyung sealed her lips and drive her bicycle away.

Shin was at the car hearing his today schedule when his eyes through the clear windows caught on the girl on her bike (Chae-Gyung). He recognized her gym pants outfit and asked the car to stop.

Shin: "It may be gossip to you, but it's serious to me."
CG: "What's wrong with you? I told you I didn't tell anyone."
Shin: "So that means you did hear something. Listen carefully. If you spread rumors that aren't even true, not only will I be in danger but so will you."
Their conversation halted because of the paparazzi were taking their pictures. The guard hushed the paparazzi away.
Shin: "I'll leave first, then you leave a little later. I'm warning you, you will be in danger if you spread rumours."

After Shin left, Chae-Gyung cursed him again: "What the heck? He's a total jerk!"

In London, Hye-Jung told Yul that Shin was going to get married. She asked him to go back to Korea. She thought it's about time they did something after being in pain for 14 years.

Meanwhile, King and Queen-mother asked Shin to decide right away whether he approved the marriage or not.
King: "So, have you decided?"
Shin: "Decide what? What do you mean?"
King: "Getting a wife."
Shin (still wearing earplug): "What has that got to do with my decision?"
King: "Can't you put that thing (earplug) down?"
Shin: "What kind of friendship is this for them to have such a promise?"
King: "It's a promise between your grandfather and his only true friend."
Shin: "You mean a king can have a true friend?"
Queen: "Crown prince, what kind of attitude are you showing your father?"
King: "Yes. Like you say, the role of a King is lonely and isolated. So, that is why it is necessary to have a true friend who understands. Your grandfather is lucky to have such a friend
and he wanted to repay his friend with a present.That is why he had the ring and the token sent to his friend, along with the letter in your hands."
Shin read the letter and commented : "This is funny: 'The engagement of the Prince and the Granddaughter of my Royal friend'. And you're saying it's me, right?"
King: "To be precise, it isn't. I'm just saying it wasn't then. As you know, when the agreement was made, my brother was still alive, and the grandson next in line for the throne was not you, but Yul. Since the death of my brother, I became king and now this promise landed up in our hands. What's important is how you feel. I won't force you to do things that you don't want to do."

Chae-gyung came home and see the house was such in a mess. She found her father searching for something. When dad said he's searching for the ring, Chae-Gyung remembered where it was. Apparently they placed the ring under one table in order to balance the table. Dad and mom were very happy. When Chae-Gyung knew the reason why, she objected completely upon the arranged marriage. Besides, she's still young. Mom persuaded her with a new sewing machine, but Chae-Gyung still didn't agree to marry Prince Shin. She said she would give the ring back to the Palace.

Meanwhile, the King showed Prince Shin the picture of the girl he's gonna marry. He said it maybe a fate or coincidence since she was also in the same school with Shin, but majoring different deparment, the art one. When Shin looked at the picture, he got shocked.

Prince Shin was practising bowshot when Internal Officer Kong approached and persuaded him to approve the arranged political marriage. The guards will be lessen. Thinking that Chae-Gyung may bring something refreshing into the Palace, Shin agreed to marry.

Hyo-Rin overheard her friends talking about the marriage of Prince Shin with the girl from their school. Thinking they're talking about her, Hyo-Rin confirmed the news to Shin.
HR: "What kind of rumor is that? Are they talking about me? They say that the crown princess-to-be is someone from our school. Didn't we make a promise that our relationship
will be kept a secret until we go to college?"
Shin: "Don't worry. It's not you."
HR: "What?"
Shin: "I just got to know recently too. But it's not you."
HR: "Who?"
Shin: "Those who are royalties and those around royalties often find themselves in situations whereby nothing make sense. This is one of them. Situations like, passing by and overhearing her future husband proposing to another girl."
HR (shocked): "So it's..." *yup, your're smart girl.. it's Chae-Gyung, not you big-headed*

The next day, Chae-Gyung prepared herself to see the Great-Queen. She determined to refused the arranged marriage. But before the guards from Palace arrived, a bunch of debt collectors entered their house and  claimed all their belongings, including the new sewing machine for Chae-Gyung. All the house owner didn't accept the fact and fought with the debt collectors. In order to safe the family financial condition, Chae-Gyung changed her mind and asked for the ring. She held the ring tightly and went in to the car which brought her to the Palace.

In the palace, the guards asked her to wait for Queen-mother and the Great-Queen. While waiting, she almost broke a china. Then she carelessly spilled the tea all over her white skirt. When she's trying to clean it, the guards announced that the Queen was about to enter the room.
